How To Wear Over The Knee Boots

Over the knee and extreme thigh high boots should quickly become a staple item in everyone's winter wardrobe this year if they aren't already.

At first I thought they could only be worn at night, which made me wonder if I really needed them and would get enough wear out of them.

After putting my purchase on hold and a little investigative research (stalking and scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest) I soon realised that my thought of only being able to wear them at night was absolutely ridiculous! Within seconds I had jumped back online, added items to my cart and clicked purchase with no regrets whatsoever.

With some serious outfit inspo now on my mind, I want to share with you all my favourite ways to wear over the knee boots anytime, anywhere!

Outfit #1 Midi Dress
I like to think of this outfit as a classic Melbourne look. Black thigh high boots and midi dress topped off with a black cap. A midi dress with a split up the leg allows the top of the boot to be shown off when walking or sitting down with your legs crossed. This all black ensemble is incredibly chic for a winter night out.

Outfit #2 Over Jeans
This look is all about mixing street style with comfort and warmth. Pairing your new boots with skinny jeans and a chunky oversized knit or long coat is a look I absolutely adore.

Outfit #3 Denim Skirt
As I have mentioned before, denim pieces can be worn all year round. I see denim skirts to be quite cute and playful. To achieve a more adult feminine look, style the skirt with a pair of thigh high boots which really elongate and show off your legs. The gap between the top of the boot and bottom of the skirt shows off just the right amount of skin.

Outfit #4 Oversized Jumper Dress
This look blows my mind, whoever thought to wear your favourite oversized jumper/knit (probably stolen from your boyfriend or husband) as a dress and to pair it back with some killer high boots, absolute fashion genius. This casual look is amplified x1000 once you add the boots and has the tick of approval from myself and all of our favourite LA celebrities.
